You might find the latest updates for the .dlls Bert used here:

http://adoxa.altervista.org/freelancer/index.html

I used the files out of the other mod I play, basically the same
ones Bert uses, but I am not sure if they are exactly the same
versions, it worked fine though:

ENIGMA V.4 ATG CLIENT-PACKAGE (Version 4.46.0.23)

Extreme Caution: Don't overwrite your UnderVerse installation with that mod!
Rename your UnderVerse folder first Freelancer_UV or something similar then
make a virgin FL installation without anything else (No patches or whatever)
and run the Enigma installer over it (it comes with a full fledged installer so
nothing else is necessary but that unfortunately means also that you can't
access the files I used before running the installer).

[According to the Modder J.R. his mod runs best with the German version of the
game so if somebody really wants to play that mod contact me via pm since I can
provide a download link for the German FL version. I think that's ok since you
all have already bought the English version.]

I myself normally backup a virgin FL installation as Freelancer_Bkp
and if I want to install a new mod I rename the existing folder Freelancer
(e.g. in Freelancer_UV) then use whatever method is recommended to
install the new mod in a copy of the virgin Freelancer_Bkp folder I renamed
Freelancer from 'Copy of Freelancer_Bkp'.
This way you can easily switch later between the mods by just renaming the
folders (e.g. you want to play the UV mod again: Just rename the new mod
from Freelancer to Freelancer_New and Freelancer_UV to Freelancer and
easily play UV mod again).
While installing FL and running Modinstallers or FLMM on newer OS (Win Vista
and higher) always remember to run everything in Admin mode and Win XP SP3
compatibility mode (click on the icons or .exe to make those settings before
running anything) or you will have problems with your installations.

The same applies to the game itself and tools for it.

It is clever to use new FL IDs with new mods to seperate this aspect of playing FL
as well. Use tools like FAM to backup existing IDs and FL ID generators for new IDs.

I rename the user preferences folder Freelancer in 'DRIVELETTER':\Users\'USERNAME'\Documents\My Games\
with the same method I use for the game folder in c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\
so I can have different settings on different servers.

As a sidenote: If you use Hotkey programs (like AHK) they have
to run in Admin mode and you have to run the script in Admin
mode or it won't work in FL if you use Win 7.
