I think the weapon sound effects are the most disregarded aspects of the whole mod. Then, weapon visual effects, which seem to be similar for many top weapons. Then the starspheres. Also a bloom effect wouldn't be bad as a graphics option, at least something that doesn't look like the original graphics of the game, something more... 2006-2007ish aspect. I've seen major mods that made it with graphics (bloom effect in Galactica, which looks 2007ish, several graphics improvements in Crossfire, which looks 2009ish, and probably huge improvements in the upcoming Freeworlds(seen on YouTube, looks pretty much 2011ish)). Nightstalker did it with new starspheres (which reminded me of the EvE Crucible starspheres), and the music taken from all the major scifi series integrated in the mod, which create overall quite of a movie atmosphere. But basically, upgrading just the 3 aspects, without even touching graphics quality, would give a better game feeling. I mean you can't shoot an energy weapon that sounds like an Uzi. All these aspects are changeable because there is no indication in the Riddick bilogy (can't call that a trilogy) how space battles actually take place (we just see these big coffin carriers of the Necromongers), because action takes place on ground, while space action is limited to travelling.

Also - but this would require more thinking - would be to change the weapon stats to allow players to pick a style, like picking between slow sluggish sledgehammer weapons and lightning fast weapons that deplete powergen. And, why not, upgrade slots that could be freely used to upgrade everything - shield capacity, shield regen, power capacity, power regen, armor - similar to WTS mod.

What do you think about these?

you should try another write up in a Few months when you might have seen 1/4 of the mod and scratched your Ships paint a few times...

We already got all that, you just didnt find em yet, keep searching or ask me ingame for some special guns which i sell, and if i dont have it in stock, give me a name and ill get it for you

Now about this, my profile here is new. I could not log in, though I am receiving Underverse mails for the last 2 years. Probably once with my old characters also the forum account was deleted , because it wasn't recognizing my mail. So I've been in a lot of parts of the Underverse, even in Rapture and Arcadia. I was a member of [DX] and lost at least my Command and hundreds of millions in credits (not sure about the Raptor and the freighter because I don't remember if I had 2 or 3 chars).

i think you mean to say =[DL]=

my records show you as a Former =[DL]= member not [Dx]

All =[DL]= Chars were deleted in maint due to inactivity ...you had to log in at least once every Six months to keep your chars. =[DL]= Went inactive 2 years ago March of 2010

last visit here by any =[DL]= member was Sep 23rd 2011 by =[DL]=Bully and that was a forum visit not a server login.

my records show your information matches =[DL]=Razor=

Alot has changed and been added since your last visit here ... so yes you have alot of New exploring to do.

You will need Ships and cash before taking on the pirate Role here .... it is Difficult

Red Rep to ALL Faction Npcs as well as ALL players on the server..
my Advice is Stay Freelancer Map Faction systems and Build a Fleet .. you will need it once you go Pirate

Well, as mentioned (and kinda promised) in 2.27, for Feudal Wars Fighter events a resting bench for fighters waiting for their next turn. Not to worry folks, for the BTB events, We have made sure(with the best of our abilities) it's still a fly-thru able object in space.

My wife & I married in 1974. The hotel we stayed at was brand new & had a restaurant called, 'Alice's Restaurant'. My 1st taste of excellent champagne accompanied the New York steak meal.

I guess the new hotel owners were Arlo Guthrie fans! LOL

Enjoyed hearing that song again. Been a long time.
