AlphaDoG, I talked to Fathom after he finally got on game and he said the system restore fixed it that you suggested. However, not sure what change he made that put his system out of whack...

Could have been anything outside of malware. The registry is fragile and needs constant attention. The reason I say it wasn't malware is for the simple reason that most malware will NOT let you restore your system. It will look like it did then reboot and give you a "failed to restore system" error message.
So it could simply have been a bad install/uninstall program for a piece of software installed/uninstalled before the error started popping up.

It wasen't anything like that guys. Not sure what it was. Didn't even have close to 99 items but restoring my system to an earlier date worked.

I am having nightmares!! Seems I enter this fantastic galaxy where everything seems so rl, like I dream I'm sitting in front of a PC in a little office staring at a desk top. I know! I know d well I just in Underverse a minute ago... I am becoming delusional everytime I dock or launch!!!
//My ping is 34.
I am having a FL crash problem. 4 times in 6 min I am taken to desk top, seems every time I launch/dock
UV is the only mod that has ever been activated on this FLMM14. I open and launch from it.
I have several other FLMMs that are also 1 mod virgins. All are named accordingly, (progfiles and shortcuts) IE; FLMMUV, FLMMDis, FLMMRbal, FLMMJ4F etc.
This is my method of considering a large mod to stick w/ and not worrying about corruption.
I have no problems launching/playing any of them ...other than this one...
My ping is a gift of the Gods... but... ping is only 1 aspect of a good OL mod to play.
It cant be my files or I wouldn't be able to play any of them.... I think.

This Mod will NOT work with FLMM 1.4
you Must use 1.3 to activate
i suggest a Clean FL install .. Get FLMM 1.3 from our DL section and re-load the Mod
Dont forget to recoed your FLID first

What Soup said. Few (if any) mods have changed as many files as ours. FLMM 1.4 and 1.5 are bugged to death and do not work properly (especially the deactivation part). When you deactivate a mod it will NOT remove files. Anything activated after that is on top of a corrupt database from there on.
Your only solution is to wipe your freelancer folder to remove this corruption, reinstall freelancer, then delete FLMM 1.4 forever and get FLMM 1.3. Don't play any mod that requires 1.4 unless you are prepared to wipe your freelancer folder every time to deactivate it.

thx for bringing this issue up.
the same thing was happening to me.
Like a week ago. I crashed several times to the desktop within an hour.
Now last week it didnt happen for days. Then yesterday it happened in the middle of a mission.
Before it happened only if i undock from a station.
My Freelancer works fine and my mod manager is 1.3.
It seems that it happens some days frequently. And on others not.
Good thing is. After i close FL on the task manager and wait until my account logs out, im able to reconnect.

Well, my problem seems to be fixed.
I went into FL files and found a mod had put folders in it. Then I found one FLMM still had an active mod.
It has since been deactivated, deleted and uninstalled. FL was uninstalled (all files with mods moved to desked top folder), reinstalled.

I totally agree with this. I tried both of those FLMMs and they screwed everything up for me. The 1.3 is the best way to go and if a mod requires one of the others, I don't download it and there are some mods I would like to try but, for this reason, I don't.

Glad to hear you got that solved Dreadful.
I would suggest copying/rename that install and not use it for other than UV.
I ended up with a full install for every server I play on because activation/deactivation almost always caused problems.
FreelancerUV
FreelancerClean
FreelancerOther
etc etc.
Then I rename the one I want to play to Freelancer and go.

Yip, is what i come to realize since UV. UV seems to fill a lot of what Im looking for in a server.
When I grow up I should know enough about the diff factions and join one...
or wait til there is an opening in the one I want... further concideration to UV will begin again then.

i used flmm 1.4 for a while so i could run fl:tng boy was that a mistake lol
i still get the ctd on mine from time to time (although its not a full crash it just minimises the screen) i think its my connection but not sure, my worst ping time was 220 i think and although its normally 150 at busy times its can be 180-190
