Windows 10 Pro worked on clean install of Freelancer and clean install of mod.
It asks you if you want to install direct play (hit yes it is required or no freelancer)
Also be sure it is not blocked by your firewall.

Easy peazy! Much easier than any of MS OS's since XP and possibly easier.

Hope that helps with decision to upgrade or not.

I think I'll wait until SP2 for Windows 10 is available since then most bugs will be found and removed ...

But it's good that there are still early adoptors like you out there because somebody has to report all those
bugs first so they can be fixed.

10 Pro has a feedback app built in already. I have most certainly done more than a bit already, but it is faster than 8.1, 8, 7, and seems more adaptable than even XP.

just a small bit- loaded win 10 in my win 7 comp- easiest install I ever did- all seems to work np
only odd thing was flancer loaded UV 2.28 instead of 2.29
all I did was deactivate the mod and reactivate it- no new installs- worked perfectly after that
still leaving main comp alone so I can run this a bit to be sure
looks good so far-easier to work in for me also

I was asked to try out Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 3 at work. Upgrade was easy and have not seen any bugs yet after 3 days of use. Tried Freelancer. Initially had a problem in which it could not recognize the 3D card and would not allow me to proceed. The video card was showing some kind of Generic Microsoft Driver. I went to the Intel Site and downloaded the drivers for the HD4400 and Freelancer now works. The only issue I have is that pressing ESC does not back out of the program.

Thanks for pointing that out Goultek. I actually did mean the "F1" key. I just found my problem was relaated to the design of the Surface Pro in that I have to hold the Fn key to get the F1 thru F12 to work. So everything is working fine on Freelancer.

switch off your key logger on W10, or microshit will know absolutely everything you type on your keyboard including your passwords

small issue ( I hope) win 10 worked perfectly on old comp with win 7 so I decided to do second one (win 8 on it )
all good except for freelancer - loaded ok but I get a double image now- 1 in green - 1 in red reaaly odd!
tried reload mod and freelancer from disc- no change
when u shoot0 each guns shoots a red and a green shot- slightly separated-have to aim in between shot to hit npc- no way to do an event like that lol
planets all bright colours mostl red and green - any one else deal with this yet ??

here goes my best guess : go to your video card controller or FL setup, you have a 3D image, if you use those fancy glasses you could see FL in 3D, switch off 3D
