Bummer first, I had to dload the game from steam I could not free enough space for the upgrade on my hard disk. just 2 gig short. if you know how to adjust the reserved disk space I may be able to get it. good news all my chars are there but first stash didn't work although its present. see you in the wasteland later.

A 59GB download. Its going to take days for me to download it. It was still 42GB on the Bethesda login. You may have to settle for the Bethesda download

Lol. I just bought the Raiders/Settlers bundle, going in to see if it is there. $20 each or $30 for both.

Hopefully I can build both on the build circle with fences in the middle and my Mirelurk King patrolling between them to keep the peace lol.

I could pay for first again in steam but I wont. I will get a larger ssd when I can. can't get yet due to lockdown but I enquired with a small computer shop who would clone the ssd nd replace with one larger. cost to work out but more than the first which is £12.00 per month on steam. (not happy). also told you can transfer first from Bethesda to steam but I don't want to do that. I have to be patient. hope the upgrade will prolong the life of the pc yet again lol.

Finally finished downloading.
So what is the most fun faction to start with. Kinda seems like the Raiders would be more fun and destructive

If you stop at the end where they ask you to say YES to join their faction, then you can rep up with both. Even heard you can stay friendly to both

Ahhh. Nice.
Is it best to start a new character or can you use an existing one?

Either, but if you start a new one it will be level 20 before you can start the new quests I believe

POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW

Hello fellow vault dwellers, I just wanted to extend a hand to people who are kind of overwhelmed or lost in the search of all the new plans such as the bow mods, T-65 power armor, secret service armor, etc and rewards like the Chinese Stealth Armor, Legendary Mask, etc. So I have over 1,500 hours in the game and play just about everyday so I know this game like the back of my hand but was a little confused on the delivery of Wastelanders pertaining to how to obtain these rare rewards and plans. I guess I could have read up on forums and stuff like that but that's not really my thing. Anyways so here are some tips:

+If you want unique items such as the Slug Buster, Prototype Steel Mill T-60 Power Armor Helmet, and raider outfits then go down the main Raider questline for those. Do not finish the main quest with the settlers before you continue with the Raiders right up until the point of no return.

+Bow Mod Plans: They can be purchased for CAPS not GOLD BULLION! I thought you had to purchase them for Gold Bullion but I just discovered a couple minutes ago when I approached a vendor named "AE-RI" at the Crater. Now I do believe you have to be FRIENDLY with the Raiders to receive these plans in the vendors inventory for purchase.

+Chinese Stealth Armor: Something I missed out on on my main character. I sped through the main questline and only did a couple settler quests before the point of no return. I assumed the only way you could obtain the CSA was from buying the plans for Gold Bullion but no. I was wrong. You want to continue down the Settler questline and keep an eye out for "TRADE SECRETS". That is the quest that will give you the CSA and it's plan. (Can not be traded or dropped)

+Legendary Free Radicals Mask: I also missed out on this item on my level 400 character as well. Didn't even know this was in the game until 3 days after release of Wastelanders. For this item, you want to side with the Free Radicals until they come to the Wayward. You will receive a random one star legendary mask. I luckily received the Unyielding Mask on one of my secondary characters on the first try.

+Slug Buster/Prototype Steel Mill T-60 Power Armor Helmet: I don't remember what the quest is called for these items but I believe you receive them both from the Raider quest that happens below Grafton Steel. The Slug Buster is a unique 3 star Anti Armor Plasma Sniper Rifle that is uniquely named. The prototype helmet will be found in the same room. You will have a certain character open the door for you to receive these items.

+ New T-65 Power Armor, Secret Service Armor, Vault 94 Rewards, Gauss Pistol, Plasmacaster: These can be purchased from the Secret Service in the new vault for Gold Bullion. This is where the grind of wastelanders comes in (other than Reputation. That is also another grind but a fun grind). You can purchased the Vault 94 Scout Armor Mask (which no longer debuffs the character by taking away 2 perception but also no longer has the cool branches on the mask for some reason), Vault 94 Solar Armor, Vault 94 Thorn Armor, and I believe the Strangler Heart but not entirely sure as I ran the vault religiously so I had all the rewards before hand. You can also purchased Vault 94 from the Purveyor for constructing these items.

+ Gauntlet, Farmable Dirt Tiles, Grocer's Backpack Mod, Turbo-Fert Fertilizer, Chinese Stealth Armor & Helmet Plans, Gauss Shotgun, Compound Bow: These can be obtained by spending Gold Bullion at Foundation (Settlers). You have to have a certain reputation standing with the Settlers to be able to purchase certain plans. For example, to purchase the Gauss Shotgun Plans you must be an Ally with this faction.

+ Floater Grenades, Ammo Construction Appliance, Gauss Minigun: These can be purchased for Gold Bullion from the Raiders at the Crater. Again, you will have to have a certain reputation standing with this faction to access certain rewards.

+ V.A.T.S. Unknown: A special Alien Blaster that can obtained my helping a certain Astronaut down her questline. One of the final rewards when you get to the end.

+ REPUTATION: Can be earned by doing the daily quests for the respective faction, Davenport at the Overseer's house, Ohio River Adventures, and also by random encounters across Appalachia. Very important to gain access to the new high end plans.

+ GOLD BULLION: These can be earned in form of Treasury Notes by doing Public Events, Daily Faction Quests, and you can purchase I believe 300 a week from Smiley on the second floor of the Wayward bar for 6,000 caps. He also has other amounts available but 300 is the max. But you can trade Treasure Notes in for Gold Bullion at the GOLD Machines for a max of 200 per day. Each Treasure Note is worth 10 Gold Bullion.

If you haven't begun the main Wastelanders quest than you have an opportunity to receive all the good rewards without missing out. You can get the legendary mask, chinese stealth armor, slug buster, prototype steel mill helmet, etc without having to spend a single cap or gold bullion for them.

Hopefully this helps someone who is rather list in the huge expansion that has come to Fallout 76. As a devoted player, I love this game and love the new update. Thank you for reading!
